Welp we're back home in Louisiana booking away and taking names. I'm getting a lil nostalgic about our tour so I figured i'd share some lovely photos taken at 1919 in Baltimore last weekend taken by my good friend Mike O'Neil. Thank you so very much to everyone who came out to our shows. You're all the best ever.

When we travel north bound we have the great fortune of getting to basically live with our friend Danielle Corsetto in Shepherdstown, West Virginia . Not only do we get to have late night do-nuts at Krumpees (go there! they're still cooked in lard) but if Danielle comes to one of our shows she will always do quick sketches of us throughout the show that always blow my mind. OH AND we've had the pleasure of having Matt Metz and John R. Miller join us at our recent shows. I been knowing these boys for a really long time so it's nice to finally get to play together. We been hitting them three part harmonies on the REG! photo by: Jess Myhre
Well this has been an amazing week. We started out in New Orleans at The Allways Country Jamboree and then made our way up to Charlottesville, Va where we played with the sweet and lovely Get Rights. At the last part of their set we decided to combine forces and created a country super group; lemme tell you that was amazing. Since then we played The Bluemoon Cafe in Shepherdstown, WV with John R. Miller & Matt Metz joining us and now we're laying low and recording trying to wrap up the recording for our first LP! This next weekend we'll be playing five more shows before we head back down to Louisiana. We'd love to see you at the show! photo by: Tamara Grayson photo by: Sabra Guzman photo by: Suzannah Bellman
We've talked about this in a this-will-never-ever-happen-cuz-it-would-be-too-awesome way almost everyday for the past few years BUT THEN it happened and we bought a van! We usually just squish Maes and us and hardly enough dresses (ha!) and less then 5 pairs of boots and tons of instruments and a PA in either our little tiny hatchback or the toyota truck UNTIL now. We traded in the truck (sad) and moved on up to a Town & Country cuz we fancy like that. She's amazing and she smells like coffee and has low low mileage.
We leave for tour this Saturday where we'll go to our other home (New Orleans) to play two shows (Pagoda Cafè & The Allways Lounge on my BIRTHDAY! and we'll be joined by Rennie Elliot on drums!) before we go on up to West Virginia to stay with our home away from home friends Danielle Corsetto and Kris Thacker! Miss Danielle is about to go on an amazing cross country trip promoting her well loved comic strip Girls With Slingshots so we feel lucky that we get a few more sleepovers before she comes to our house! ahhhh! While we're in the West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland area we got lots of exciting shows that are so exciting in fact I feel like I got ants in my pants all day long just waiting. We'll be joining the Get Rights in Charlottesville, Va on April 10th and then April 12th we have a show at The Bluemoon Cafe in Shepherdstown, WV where Matt Metz and John R. Miller are joining us on whatever dang instruments they feel like playing. I die. After that we're recording some duets and harmonies and mandolins and banjos and bass to finish the record (Larissa & Brechyn and Matt and Chelsea and John!) then playing some more amazing shows (including one at the Shepherdstown Opera House with Grace & Tony) and at the 1919 in Baltimore (one of my favorite places on earth) with Carrie and Her Dirty Pillows. Then back down to Eggleston, Virginia to stay at the sweet sweet Buckeye Ranch and play at The Palidsades. Life is good and you are wonderful. P.S.- All of the shows are listed on the shows page so give it a look. |
